Journal #1 Angels and Demons

This is one of the greatest books I've ever read. The plot was interesting right off the bat. But one fact of this story that I find very interesting, is the fact that about 98% of it is actually real. The facts of the story are all actually real, but the story and the characters where created by the author.

" God give me strength to accept those things I cannot change." "Trust me, this is one of those things." These quotes represent the fight between religion and science. There are so many that believe in religion (one being myself) as an answer to there questions in life. How was the Universe created? Why do these things keep happening to me? etc. Then there are the many people that believe there is a logical explantion for everything. The Big Bang theory is a concept of two particles randomly hitting each other with such incredible velocity that the result was the creation of the universe. Now, this theory may sound pretty farfetched but according to Mr. Hogg, the creation of Anti-matter (something from nothing) is actually all true. They've done it. They're starting to actually proove that both God and the Big Bang Theory are real. Both religion and science are the truth. But most won't want to believe that both science and religion can be one. This would bring us to our next problem. There will be almost religious or scientific "terrorists" trying to tear down everyone's beliefs. But overall, this book is amazing and well thought out. The author gets you real deep into the characters and reveals their personalities extremely well.

I agree with you in the fact that it is a very good book, and there are tons of heavy set information that is there to amaze you. Science and Religion have been compared to eachother, and agree with eachother (as it says on page 87 in which the Bible provides scientific support). The Big Bang theory is actually the concept of the universe collapsing on itself, not two particles hitting eachother. It is proved that the universe will expand out into a "thin" sort of sheet, and will explode on itself due to sheer pressure. This will take millions, maybe billions of years, but this will result in another Big Bang.

The fact people on a global scale are continuing to tell others what to believe is a re-occuring problem. Throughout the centuries there have been wars, segregation, and even murder over something that is not even concrete. I agree with Chris on how this novel is extremely exciting and intense. It displays the atrocities that both science and religion have contributed to this world. On the other hand, they have both done wonders as well. Religion gives people reasons to better themselves and to aspire to do great things for others. Science has helped the human race understand ideas that we never thought was attainable. Interesting concepts Chris.

Your ideas are very well thought yet you may need to get your facts straight. The Big Bang theory is not two particles crashing into each other rather the universe collapsing in on itslef. And antimatter has actually not been sucsessfuly created yet. This is beacause they are actualy in the process of making a bigger particle accelerator. Although I do understand the concept you are writing about where God and science compliment each other. And that man is getting more advanced to prove our ancient theories.

I agree, this is an amazing book i could hardly put it down when i was reading it. I like how the author made the chapters short and left you hanging and wanting more. "Where is the antimatter? The horrifying answer was only a moment away." The fight between religion and science is never ending. Why does society have to no the answers to
